The Oakeshott type X was used between 800 1200, from the Norman ages until the Crusades. Nowadays the original of this sword is a part of the collection of the Royal Armouries of Leeds. The sword has a length of 96 cm with a blade of 79,5 cm and a max. width of 4,5 cm. The point of balance is situated approx. 16 cm below the cross guard. The pommel and cross guard are made of iron, the
