Chrysanthemum Paper Flowers Zine Jean Crafted from a lightweight quiltedArtist Sophia Callahan first encountered paper chrysanthemums in her grandparents wedding photos, taken at Poston Internment Camp in Arizona during WWII. With fresh flowers unavailable, those incarcerated crafted paper bouquets for ceremonies and celebrations, weaving resilience and care into fragile petals.
