The original is currently on display at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England. It is believed that the original belonged to a cavalryman from Alexander the Great's Macedonian army. The shape of this helmet comes from the Greek region of Boeotia. Such helmets were made from 1 piece of bronze and the model is based on a traditional felt hat that was worn this region,
