40's Floral Velvet Open Crown Hat by Ethel Atkins embroidered wool hat this hat is meant toOpen crown hat from the 1940's. Set on a band of black velvet the front and sides are embellished with black, navy blue and red ovals much like grapes. The open crown is covered in a double layer of black netting. Interior is the standard petersham ribbon along with an elastic placement band. Excellent condition. Label is original by Ethel Atkins, 16 Arlington Street, Boston.
