Romeinse scheenbeschermers, ocrae, 1.2 mm Alle kleding but presumably on the helmetsThese greaves are made after several originals that were worn during the Hellenistic period. Greaves like these were not only worn by the Greek city states, both also by the Roman soldiers in the Roman monarchy period and in the republic. The greaves are made of 2 mm thick steel and their length is 58 cm. They weigh approx. 2,3 kg. The size can be easily adjusted by the leather straps.
