The artist gathered together pieces of damp clay from several previous projects and combined them, like a collage, into one large piece. Instead of a glassy coating of glaze, she applied a wash of red iron oxide before the final firing, maintaining the earthy, rustic quality of the clay. A removable wire loop allows hanging with ease.
