Instituted August 31st, 1940. (Variant IV mid to late war manufacture) Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse with an oval oak wreath and a central area depicting a sea mine exploding in wavy water, and a national eagle with open wings clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse plain, with a barrel hinge on top of a small plate, a horizontal banjo style pinback, and
