Two Artillery Of The Grande Armée Shako Plates Auction Lace and EmbOf late 19th Century manufacture, Illustrating an eagle standing upon a cannonball, the latter flanked by lightning bolts, laurel leaves and oak leaves. First plate in brass, number "19" die cut in the cannonball, measuring 134 mm (w) x 132 mm (h), intact screwpost; and second plate in brass, measuring 135 mm (w) x 134 mm (h), intact screwpost. Intricate detail, very light contact, together, near extremely fine.
