Constructed of bronze gilt with red and black enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte with straight arms, with crossed swords in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a delicately hand painted insignia, the reverse inscribed in Russian with the institution date September 22, 1782, on a loop for suspension from its correct modern replacement ribbon, unmarked, measuring 35. 0 mm (w) x 39. 0 mm
