Constructed of a silvered and patinated bronze alloy, the obverse consisting of a detailed Silesian style German national eagle, overlaid across the chest with a Brustmond and clutching a banner in its talons bearing an inscription of FR SCHLESIEN (FOR SILESIA), the reverse with four visible clips securing the obverse appliques in place, with a wide barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked,
