An Officer's Badge in silver, consisting of a white Maltese Cross with red bordering, ball finials, green enamelled laurels in each quadrant, obverse centre with the royal cypher with Latin Motto Princeps et Patria (Leader and Country) surround, reverse centre with an red and white enamelled centre and Latin motto surround Deo Juvante (God Help), marked with a boars head denoting French manufacture after 1838
