A pair of badges, including a War Merit Cross I Class with Swords, constructed of silvered zink, consisting of a Maltese Cross with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with an integral hinge and tapering vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 48. 06 mm (w) x 47. 56 mm (h), weighing 17. 4 grams, with extensive oxidation and loss of finish evident in
