Accompanied with original document stating - After inspecting the proposal of Flight Regiment 4 and necessary study and flight logs I have noted that Corporal Viljo Ensio Lundelin fulfils requirements of an airplane machine gunner and therefore I award him a Finish Flight Badge for Machinehun Gunner  (Number 29) - Helsinki 12th August 1942

leaving for his unit on August 20th

Worn, with nice old patina, in extremely fine condition. Badge was awarded to qualified Observers, whose duties also included navigation and helping out air gunners. This type with retaining pins and tongue is extremely rare.
