The letter is dated to August 10, 1937 and sent as a reply to an original inquiry from two days prior by a Flieger bungsstellenleiter (pilot training site leader), H. Wendel in Erfurt (eastern Germany). Apparently Wendel had asked to buy a Civilian Pilots Badge from the Luftwaffe sales department. They in turn now ask him to send a
