Suriname, Republic. An Honourary Order Of The Palm, Commander Province of China with maker’s mark “G(Ere Orde van de Palm). Instituted in 1975. In bronze gilt, with centre of obverse in enamels presenting the palm surrounded by order motto, reverse plain, 50. 8 mm (w) x 57. 9 mm (h inclusive of ball suspension), on replacement ribbon, very fine. Footnote: The Honourary Order of the Palm is a military and civil state decoration of the Republic of Suriname. The Order was instituted in 1975 at the independence of Suriname and replaced the Dutch Order
