Germany, Federal Republic. A Knight’s Cross Of The Iron Cross, 1957 Version Hold dated 14 July 1943(Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes). Reinstituted 1 September 1939. (1939 1945 issue; post 1957 reissue). Constructed of iron and neusilber, consisting of a Cross Patte with a blackened magnetic iron core within a plated neusilber frame, the obverse bearing three central oak leaves, the six oclock arm bearing a reinstitution date of 1939, the reverse six oclock arm bearing a reinstitution date of 1813, the twelve oclock arm with an integral loop
