Wonderful autograph letter signed, dated in Weimar in 1860, in French, most probably to the son of French composer Hyppolyte Andr Jean Baptiste Chlard (1789 1861), a friend of Liszt who was a well established composer and conductor in Weimar. Chelard was probably ill and would die just a few months after this letter, Liszt is thanking Chelards son for a portrait of his father and
