Ancient - Cainian Chronicle 10.2.24 ch takes inspiration from a mushroom25th anniversary vinyl 2LP reissue of 1996's The Cainian Chronicle from Norwegian black metal institution Ancient. Two years after they released their highly acclaimed folk black album Svartalvheim and an EP, they released this album which marked their initial change in style the band cut out most to any folk influences, and instead, a more melodic based approach was introduced to their sound. By the time this album was released, the melodic sub genre
