Germany, Heer. An Officer’s Dress Dagger, With Hanger, By Carl Eickhorn Hold Instituted 1917(Heer Dolch fr Offiziere mit Gehnge). An extremely well preserved Heer Officiers dress dagger, measuring 40 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 26 cm long, nickel plated, magnetic steel blade with a sharpened tip and edges. The reverse ricasso bears a makers mark of ORIGINAL EICKHORN, SOLINGEN, circumscribing the firms classic logo of a squirrel clutching a sword. It sits securely within a nickel plated alloy crossguard,
