A Civil Gliding Class “A” Proficiency Badge Auction Archive They were reported missing andIn silvered bronze and blue and white enamels; numbered 131 324 on reverse; measuring 22 mm in diameter; contact marks but otherwise very fine condition. Footnote: The International Aeronautical Federation awarded a series of proficiency badges to glider pilots on their successful completion of the appropriate tests and gliding trials. The A class certificate was awarded for the completion of a 30 second solo flight without maneuvers.
