They were traded to the Igbo of Nigeria and range from 6 to 8. 5mm in diameter, with 2mm holes. Their irregular shapes and sizes are a result of being handmade in Venice during the late 19th to early 20th centuries. Often referred to as Dog Teeth or Dog Tooth beads, these pieces reflect the remarkable skill of Venetian artisans.
