Turkey, Ottoman Empire. An Order of the Medjidie, Commander Mounted Badge Republic of the badge measuring 40Instituted in 1851. In silver with red enamels, a silver seven pointed star, each of the arms with three faceted rays, with a crescent moon and star in between each arm; the observe Gold centerpiece shows the Sultan Abdul Mejids royal cipher surrounded by an inscription, the reverse also features an Arabic inscription with a pin; an original neck badge converted into a star of the Order, 57. 9 mm, extremely fine condition.
