Germany, Wehrmacht. A 1939 Iron Cross I Class Auction large medal is very rare(Eisernes Kreuz 1939 I. Klasse). Reinstituted 1 September 1939. (1939 1945 issue). Constructed of silver, consisting of a Cross Patte with a blackened core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six oclock arm with a reinstitution date of 1939, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 44. 49 mm (w) x 44. 40 mm (h), weighing 17. 3 grams, in better than
