Fine yet chewy tannin carries the finish adding a balanced dryness
The wine is bright
The wine was left to undergo natural malolactic fermentation and matured for four months at cool temperatures before being racked to tank for bottling
The moist and mild conditions from November through to early February finished with some great finishing temperatures and sunlight to sustain the great natural acidity and flavour that had built over the final month before picking started on the 9th of March
Lambrook Plant Pinot Noir 2024 -STOCKTAKE- greenhouse-knight Fine yet chewy tannin carriesWINEMAKING PROCESS Our Pinot Noir is hand picked and cold soaked for 24 hours to infuse the colour of the fruit bringing a lively kick to the palate. The fermentation is in small open top fermenters which is hand plunged and on skins for a minimum of 10 days. 20% whole bunch fruit is added to the ferment. Once fermentation is complete it is pressed and transferred to barrel. Barrel maturation is for 9 months in French Oak Barriques, 30% which is new.
