Braunschweig, Dukedom. An Order Of Henry The Lion, Officer’s Cross With Swords, C.1914 Auction Archive his brother William being his(Orden Heinrichs des Lwen). Instituted on 25 April 1834 by William VII Duke of Braunschweig. (1910 1918 Issue). A Maltese cross constructed of gilded silver with light blue enamelled arms, with swords crossed through the centre medallion, centre obverse featuring a hand painted white column with a jumping, white horse, over a red enamelled background with gilt border, crowned ring, reverse centre presents a vertical pin assembly, measuring 57. 72 mm
