Constructed of gilded aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised mobile swastika, circumscribed by a raised inscription of GOTT MIT UNS (GOD WITH US) in Fraktur script and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the latter retaining a period original brown leather strap maker marked F. W. ASSMANN & SHNE, LDENSCHEID, above a manufacture date of 1938, the buckle unmarked and
