The group, a religious cult, had been watched by federal organizations and were suspected to be stockpiling weapons. When the Bureau Of Alcohol, Tobacco, And Firearms came with a search warrant, a shootout erupted which resulted in a siege and ultimately in the burning of the group's ranch.
