Description
) intensity and length
One Slavonian cask is used to ferment most of the grapes
Previously this large vineyard consisted of high trellised vines planted 3 metres apart – the norm in Entre-des-Mers where grapes are machine picked
The renowned quality of Coonawarra is a product of its thin rocky soils and underlying soft crumbly limestone (Calcare) which naturally produce balanced vine canopies and small crops of intensely flavoured fruit
Sadie Family Citrusdal Mountain Kokerboom 2024 lorgeril ) intensity and lengthThis is one of the most distinct wines in the District Series, offering a rare look at South Africas viticultural history. Named after the striking Kokerboom (aloe) plants that surround the vines, this vineyard sits high up in the Citrusdal Mountain district on arid sandstone soils. Planted back in the 1930s, it is one of the few remaining sites where you find pristine old vine Semillon that has never seen a drop of herbicide or artificial fertiliser.
