A 83Rd Infantry Battalion "Queen's Own Rifles" Cap Badge, C.1916 Newly Listed due to the fact thatIn browning copper, maker marked and dated "ELLIS BROS 1916" on the reverse, measuring 46. 2 mm (w) x 46. 2 mm (h), one lug intact, the other having been re soldered, cleaned, very fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Toronto, Ontario under the authority of G. O. 103A, August 15, 1915. The Battalion sailed April 28, 1916 with a strength of 35 officers and 1,081 other ranks under the command of Lieutenant Colonel R. Pellatt. In
