Constructed of cupal, the obverse bearing a raised NSFK insignia in the form of Icarus defaced by a mobile swastika, topped by an inscription of NAT. SOZ. FLIEGERKORPS, and situated above an inscription indicating that the plaque was issued to participants of the 8th Silesian Glider Flight Competition from NSFK Groups 4 and 6 in 1938, unmarked, measuring 66 mm (w) x 80 mm (h),
