The setting is a heavier Signet style where the band encompasses the gemstone, which really works well with a chunkier stone. The colour is not the deep violet that I love but the price reflects that Tanzanite is one of my all time favourite gems. It comes from of such a small part of the world ~ just 8 square Kms in the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and the image of
