Germany, DAF. A 1939 Craftsmen Competition Outstanding Achievement Plaque, with Case, by Hüttenamt Gleiwitz GTRexclude 1915 in North Bay(Deutsches Arbeitsfront Handwerkerwettkampf Plakette). Constructed of patinated cast iron, the obverse bearing a central hammer overlaid by a Deutsches Arbeitsfront (German Labour Front DAF) insignia, in turn situated within a cluster of oak leaves and flanked by a date of 1939, circumscribed by an inscription of HANDWERKERWETTKAMPF FR HERVORRAGENDE LEISTUNGEN (CRAFTSMEN COMPETITION FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS), the reverse affixed with a loop for
