Released on their debut 7" in 1981, the song states a personal belief in not drinking, smoking, taking drugs, or using "a crutch." Almost soon as the song was released, an entire ideaology was founded around the lyrics, against the wishes of the band's singer. Many different interpreations came out of the singular song, including some stricter and more militant ones. In the 1990s, some people advocated for
