Germany, Hj. A Leader Sports Badge, By Gustav Brehmer United Republic of suspending by an ornamented period(Fhrer Sportabzeichen der HJ). Instituted 6 May 1938 by Baldur von Schirach. (1938 1944). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamel, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath surrounding a black enameled disc, overlaid by a Tyr rune, in turn bearing a central mobile swastika, within a circular ring bearing an inscription of FR LEISTUNGEN IN DER H. J. (FOR MERIT IN THE H. J.), the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and flattened vertical
