It has Japanese calligraphy on the front as well as a stamp belonging to the artist

Vintage Taiko Drum in Chinese Motifs w/ Stand Sticks Accessories 26"x18" Chawan PLEASE NOTE the lid wasThis is an unusual Taiko drum brought back from Japan in teh 1980's. The top skin is in good, tight condition and it has a very deep sound. It is coated in red lacquer and decorated around the whole circumference. It includes a specially made stand to hold the drum suspended. Includes a case for storage and traveling as wel as several sets of sticks in a case. This drum has been handled with respect and carefully stored in the large traveling bag
