It was created by Hafiz Ali Esref. Rather unusually, this map was put together by the first modern Turkish cartographer, Hafz Ali Eref (also known as Ali Sheref Pasha), and is labelled in Ottoman Turkish Arabic script. There is no English writing on this map! The map is unique in that it exhibits three different perspectives of the world: flat, oval, and views
